Just for Today

  • Jan Bouch
  • November 12, 2017

Today, the 12th of November, I along with hundreds of others celebrated and grieved the life and death of Neil Taylor.

My March 2017 blog introduced you to Neil and his mother who had just released a memoir titled The Life We Got: Losing Sight and Gaining Vision. https://www.amazon.com

The return of Neil’s brain cancer ended his life swiftly. However, the life he packed into 38 years was full of gratitude, heart, and love.

Today I was reminded that gratitude and coaching should always be entwined. It is with gratitude that we are able to acknowledge and appreciate: appreciation for our failures and missteps, acknowledgment of our gifts and of our limitations, and acceptance of the unanswerable questions of life.

Just for today, let me leave you with the meditation mantra that is imprinted on my sad and grateful heart.

May you be well

May you be happy

May you be peaceful

May you be loved

Namaste,

Jan
